This is the rest of the first confrontation between the Doctor and the Dalek.

I promised nina_ds a while ago that I would do a picspam of "Dalek", sort of showcasing my love Christopher Eccleston's facial expressions in that particular episode from series one of Doctor Who.  I had sort of forgotten about it until she starting threatening me with pointy objects reminded me.  So, here's part one, because I have over 300 caps to post.  I think, I didn't really count.

This is definitely one of my favorites of CE's episodes on DW, although I'm surprised.  This really isn't the Doctor you want your children to know, so I feel very lucky that we as an audience were able to get this episode, even if the script wasn't at it's strongest.  This is one of those episodes that you really need to watch more than once because it's not as good on it's first viewing, you get too caught up in everything else that you don't know how much the Doctor really is breaking.  

I also talk a lot about other episodes in season one, so beware if you haven't watched all of season one.  Thanks.  Oh, and my language my not be at it's cleanest, although there are no f-words here.  Yet.

Over here, I did a comparison of episodes from series two to their counterparts from series one of Doctor Who up to episode 7.  So, now that the season is over, I decided to finish that list.  It pretty much shows my bias towards season one which I do believe was better.  Maybe it's as a new fan of the show that joined when in the US, the SciFi channel started showing the 2005 series of Doctor Who in March, but I much prefered CE as the Doctor than DT.  I love David Tennant, but not his Doctor.  

OPINIONS WILL VARY, that I have no doubt about.  Just remember, these are mine.


I started my original post because of a post that ed_zeppelin posted towards to end of May on doctorwho.

I just re-watched "Rose", the first episode of the 2005 series, and I can't believe I forgot how much I adore that episode.  Sure, it has it's cheesy moments, but, from an American point of view, it was amazing for a "pilot" episode.

I first saw it in March, and didn't really watch it again, I was too busy re-watching "The End of the World", which has become probably my favorite series one episode, and "The Unquiet Dead", which is probably the most underrated episode of series one.  

May have references to series one and series two episodes, all the way up to "Army of Ghosts".  But not THAT spoiler, nothing beyond AoG, and nothing important from that episode.  Also, talk about series two.

And I just caught the last five minutes of a Doctor Who marathon on SciFi.  How the hell did I miss that?
