Hey you guys! A list: - Been a bit of week for me. Don't want to get into details, but things might be weird for me for a while. - I'd really love it, if any of you were interested, if you'd look into signing up for martha_lims. First challenge is already up, if you want to check it out, and there's two weeks before I close sign ups. :D I'm not ashamed of this pimping! - I getting into making icons, specifically Doctor Who icons. Sort of a therapy to help me with my anger towards the finale. Yeah, there's just some parts of that finale I've come to loathe and I don't want to take it out on you guys, my lovely lovely f-list. - I like to move things I don't like from my mind. Working on DW icons is really NOT the answer to that. Hmmm...I suppose co-modding martha_lims would fall under that. BUT she's like, the one thing from that finale that I had NO problems with. - Anyone on my f-list watching the new USA network show In Plain Sight? I love it, it's fun, with little sides of drama and angst, and enjoyable. - So many shows I get to watch in the summertime now! The one previously mentioned, Burn Notice, The Middleman (which I've described to some as awesome, terrible, fun and THE BEST), The Closer and Eureka. I think I'm missing something...OKAY FINE, I ADMIT IT, I'm also watching So You Think You Can Dance.- I'm in love with the pizza place down the street from me. - You know, I was watching something this morning to remind me of this. I mentioned something about this a couple weeks ago. Anyway, I've never made it a secret that I sympathize and relate to female characters that pine for the wrong guy. And I mentioned the other week the double standard of girls getting attacked in fandom for this and male characters in similar situaitons don't, but I FINALLY GOT IT. Girls pine for the boys that treat them like shit, and the guys (specifically in shows I watch, this isn't widespread) pine usually for a girl that's not so bad to them (or in some cases, their best friend). I was again reminded of this when I was watching a couple episodes of Firefly. Yeah, I'm totally re-watching all of those right now to be reminded of the AWESOMENESS. Anyway, I remembered that Kaylee pined for Simon, and that he was sometimes quite a jerk towards her. But I totally forgot that she didn't let him get away with it. She always let him know when he had said something out of line and I'm reminded why I liked them in the first place and why I utterly adored her too. Plus, he didn't do it on purpose and he was so awkward when speaking a lot of the time to Kaylee, so you almost felt bad for him. - I'm hungry. I think I'm gonna have some of that pizza I mentioned earlier :D - Weird, random post is now...over *blows kisses* OMG, you guys were just totally reminded of what a supreme dork I am, weren't you?

What else am I going to talk about?! Well, I could talk about The Office, but I still haven't continued watching S3 yet. I will! I promise. After this Saturday and I see the finale for DW :P Okay, so I'm relatively caught up on Doctor Who episodes, meaning I've seen the latest episodes. ( Turn Left... )( Most recent episode...don't want to spoil the name... )HOLY FRICK, I can't believe I was able to go on like that. And YES you guys, I'm excited for the finale!
Okay, so last night, I started up the process of catching up on Doctor Who again. ( Means I'm up to Forest of the Dead... )Not much really to say about it, I guess. *shrugs* I'll probably watch "Midnight"...tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm still trying to decide if I'll watch "Turn Left" soon after or if I'll just want until the final episodes play out. Probably the latter, sadly.
Hey! I just watched "Silence in the Library". My thoughts are under the cut, not very many, sorry. Although, a little longer than I expected. ( Hmmm...help me out here you guys... )Um...whoever is putting together the trailers for previews of the next episodes, dude, you're not doing a very good job. This is the second or third time this season I'm left praying that the episode turns out better than the preview suggests.
I saw the new trailer for the rest of this series. Quick reaction: Eh. Longer one: I've pretty much nearly lost almost my entire interest in this series back around the Christmas special (which I hadn't watched and still haven't). It then took me a week to watch "Partners in Crime", a couple days to watch "The Fires of Pompeii", I was well on time with the following episodes (YES, I'm a fucking hypocrite and I don't mind admitting that I couldn't watch Martha's episodes fast enough) and I still haven't sat down and watched "Planet of the Ood" or "The Unicorn and the Wasp". The spoilery part of this: ( Which may just be me being too careful... )Honestly, if I can't get more interested in this, after the finale, I'm done. I can't stick around with a show that doesn't make me care anymore. *sighs* It's probably just a bad reaction to a mediocre day, I'm hoping that RTD pulls something great out of his ass so that I'll stay around to see what Moffat does with the show.
I just watched the latest episode of Doctor Who, and it was much better than that trailer originally suggested. Spoilers under the cut, of course, and it's probably longer than I anticipate. ( Is the title considered a spoiler for this one? )Babble, that's what it was.
So, this new season of Doctor Who has some crazy ideas running through my head. Some completely out there and some that...I totally could buy RTD doing. The one I'm thinking now I presented to hollywoodgrrl the other day: Okay, taking the idea that Rose really did go to work at Torchwood in the alt!verse (or however the fuck it's referred to), what are the chances Martha Jones might be working there as well? I just thought it would be really brilliant that Rose would know Martha because they work together. I think I even have a small fic idea, thank you hollywoodgrrl for doing that *sticks out tongue*Also, that would be a totally awesome reason for no fights between all the companions. Because I will be fucking pissed if there is some form of "competition" between them. Prove to me you're better than that RTD. You haven't yet, but I think you can.
Oh you guys, you know I love you, BUT I'M SO FRAKKING TERRIBLE WITH BIRTHDAYS, I CAN'T KEEP UP. prchung, you just have a recent birthday, yes? And I'm being told today is also quiet_fractures's and speckleberry's birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Damn, I'm trying to keep a better eye on what LJ reminds me. I swear. *loves you all* *bounces a little* I'm in such a giddy mood from last night's Doctor Who! EEEEEEEE. ( But my squee is being a little harshed.... )
Hey you guys! Question for y'all, if I were to do a voice post, because I'm sorely tempted to, what would you be interested in hearing? It'd probably be some nonsensical thing, since that's what I usually post about. But a voice post would be fun! I love listening to them, it's fun to hear what some of you all sound like. So? Damn, bored. OH, I watched the second S4 episode of Doctor Who the other day. ( Just one or two things... )
So, this morning, I watched "Gridlock" and "Last of the Timelords" (yeah, I'm doing so well with S4, heh).
Anyway, WHY ISN'T THERE MORE LOVE FOR "GRIDLOCK"? Is this my S3 "The Long Game"? I really forgot how much I love that episode. It's great.
And I honestly would have loved to forget how much of a mess LotTL was. I mean, some amazing parts, but overall? Messy.
Sorry, I wanted to add something here, that it makes me irrationally mad at the end with the Doctor wailing over the Master. While it feels harsh to condone his murder, I don't see how anyone could look at the Doctor the same for mourning over a person that was presented to us as a monster. If I liked Ten, he definitely would have lost a hell of a lot of shine in that moment.
*wonders* Maybe I can stretch that that was the real reason Martha left! heh, Don't mind me :)
I'm serious about the rest though.
But OH if I just don't love Martha more. I love when she says goodbye, because it's just...I've gone on about it before, but it's just perfect to me. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MY MARTHA ON DW AGAIN.
And heh, my dad caught the very last bit of LotTL and thought that Martha/Freema was adorable, he was like "She's gorgeous", and it cracked me up because he honestly just went on about it and I had to stop myself from telling him to shut up.
Overall, my dad really doesn't like DW though, I believe he finds it more ridiculous than the Stargate series. Which is interesting, he LOVES the Stargate series.
I WILL be watching the latest episodes of Doctor Who, I promise, I have them ready to watch.
So, I've finally hit the nail about why I'm reluctant to watch season 4 of Doctor Who. ( I don't know if it's spoilery... )So, this was probably completely pointless and I sound like I lost all sane thought and I'm probably gonna lock this later. I will be watching the latest episode later, probably. Just saying, I haven't seen it yet, but I've read some of your reactions and I sort of can't wait to see the episode.
Ah, I bet you guys would be proud that I actually watched the new Doctor Who episode TODAY instead of a couple weeks from now if y'all cared! ;D So, yes I watched it. ( Just a few things... )Icon used because I am SO making a Nine/Rose mood theme.
So.....instead of watching the new episode of Doctor Who, I watched "Smith and Jones" this morning.
Heh, when I do watch the new season opener, "Partners in Crime" (yes?), I'll figure out if that was the better thing to do :D
No, but I really love that episode. Martha's so cute. And Ten's still an asshole with mildly good moments. But awwww, Martha.
Using icon in hopes of cheering up... SO, I went from being not excited about DW, to semi-excited about it (THANK YOU noperfectlife), to sort of depressed/pissed-off about it? WHAT THE FRICK IS UP WITH MY MOODS? *sigh* Just move on from this...please. And as much as I really love my Martha/Rose moodtheme, maybe one of my Nine/Rose moodthemes will sort of cheer me up. OR OH, I COULD MAKE A MARTHA/NINE MOODTHEME, OMG YOU GUYS, FUCKING YES! And hey, there's BSG tomorrow night :D And OMG, I didn't know that The Sarah Jane Adventures was coming to Sci-Fi, how awesome. And I will be posting responses to that meme from the other day soon, promise :) And oh fuck, I just remembered the Torchwood finale is tomorrow. *sighs*
I'm up to "Something Borrowed" with the Torchwood episodes. Am I killing you guys with these updates? heh I feel the need to keep them up so that I can continue to catch up with the episodes. I promise to be quieter when I catch up on Skins episodes. Although, I might be bothersome when I finally watch Dexter. ( So...spoilers... )And this will be under the cut, just in case. ( Just a little Doctor Who thinking... )
Hey you guys!
So, here's a question, is it weird to want to icon a show that you don't actually watch?
'Cause I do.
P.S. You know what would also be lovely? If some of you awesome f-listers would be able to make me actually excited about the upcoming season of Doctor Who.
There's reasons I should be, but the fact remains, I still haven't seen the Christmas special, and still have no desire to. I mean, I adored Donna, Martha's coming back, the trailers looks fantastic, but...I'm NOT FUCKING FEELING IT.
RTD broke me, I think.
I'm thinking of finally starting Torchwood S2 tonight. And I'll be getting around to Skins soon. We'll see what spoilers say after Monday's episode.
And if I'm not on tomorrow: Happy Easter!
So, Sci-Fi had a Doctor Who marathon on Friday, and it was all S1, and I caught "The Empty Child" and it's still a fucking awesome episode! :D I remembered why I first fell in love with Nine with that episode, why Nancy is one of the best DW guest stars, and found that the Jack/Rose parts weren't as...tedious as I remembered. The Jack/Rose scenes used to bother me for some reason, don't know, never really got the chemistry there, but watching those scenes again on Friday, they're kinda fun. They're a needed break from what Nine's doing. They're still not a ship I'd ever really enjoy. And the hospital scene is just fantastic (with Nine and that doctor). The episode (well, episodes, when including "The Doctor Dances") is my favorite of S1 right now. Until I watch "The End of the World" or "The Long Game" or "The Unquiet Dead" again ;) And then, there was a repeat of "The Lazarus Experiment" on BBC America on Sunday, and I had forgotten what a great episode it was! I enjoy the relationship between Martha and the Doctor in that one a lot. I also noticed what an cool family dynamic Martha's family has. Her brother is the momma's boy, and Tish seems to take sides and takes Martha's, probably something that happened a lot when they were kids (Tish is the oldest, yeah? She looks like the baby), and while Martha loves her mother, she definitely doesn't listen to her often. It's kinda fun to see all that, while sad when I think about that dynamic later :( Also, did we ever find out why "Mr. Saxon" was warning Martha's mom? I don't remember. Was is just a way to lure the Doctor in? Yeah, I feel like a dork asking because that's probably what it was! Question, does anyone know if Freema is shorter than Billie because she looks so much smaller next to David than I remember Billie looking. And hey! I got some icons posted over at my graphics comm (haven't posted in about a month!) of Stardust. That was a fun movie! Anyway, they're all here.
