I promised nina_ds a while ago that I would do a picspam of "Dalek", sort of showcasing my love Christopher Eccleston's facial expressions in that particular episode from series one of Doctor Who.  I had sort of forgotten about it until she starting threatening me with pointy objects reminded me.  So, here's part one, because I have over 300 caps to post.  I think, I didn't really count.

This is definitely one of my favorites of CE's episodes on DW, although I'm surprised.  This really isn't the Doctor you want your children to know, so I feel very lucky that we as an audience were able to get this episode, even if the script wasn't at it's strongest.  This is one of those episodes that you really need to watch more than once because it's not as good on it's first viewing, you get too caught up in everything else that you don't know how much the Doctor really is breaking.  

I also talk a lot about other episodes in season one, so beware if you haven't watched all of season one.  Thanks.  Oh, and my language my not be at it's cleanest, although there are no f-words here.  Yet.

I was re-watching "Father's Day" the other day, capping it to make icons and I realized that I really did watch the show for the Doctor. When you watch an episode like that where it's prominently about someone else, Rose, and you can't help but focus completely on someone else, the Doctor, you know something's up. I'm not surprised of course. I'm really surprised nobody's asked me to stop with these posts though on other communities.

I did a post not to long about about what I like about the 10th Doctor and what I don't like and I touched on the 9th Doctor and Christopher Eccleston and also described what I didn't like about Doctor(9 and 10)/Rose. So, here's the post to better outline my Nine love and a little about what I enjoy about Nine/Rose.

I am in an icon making mood.  I just finished a set, I'll post them tomorrow, from Doctor Who's "Father's Day", which is my favorite episode to icon, and now I'm woefully out of ideas.  

GIVE ME IDEAS PLEASE!  Could be Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, a movie, Wonderfalls, hell, maybe even some more Lost and Veronica Mars.

I'd prefer Doctor Who, just for the fact that I can make my own screen caps and I have a quota of Rose icons to fulfill, and I'd not getting there.

So, if you give me a show, please give me an episode, can be anything, I just need a little nudge towards an episode.

OH!  Have I said how much I love Christopher Eccleston?  That's a bit redundant.  Because I think I've changed my mind, my favorite episode of his, after "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances" is "Father's Day".  I love him in that episode, even if the Doctor did screw up, along with Rose.  In the scene where he's talking to the couple and tells them that's a life he's never had, I think I really wanted to just give him a huge bear hug.  BUT, that green sweater (jumper for those non-Americans) wasn't that pretty on him, I liked the blue one he wore in "Aliens of London".  And one of my favorite pictures of him, here.  (pics taken from here)

Um...yeah, Christopher Eccleston now owns me. FUCKING OWNS ME.

Watched "Dalek" tonight and he was fantastic. I don't mean that as a pun, I always use that word. I swear. Blew me away in his first scene with the Dalek. So yes, I love him and he owns me completely.

Tell me, am I going to like David Tennant? I mean, he looks cute in the previews, but am I going to love him at least as half as much as I love the 9th doctor?
